This element is disseminated to our operations through the following commitments:
High Carbon Stock
KLK commits to no deforestation. We adopt the High Carbon Stock Approach Toolkit through which the HCS Approach methodology is standardised and implemented, to identify areas suitable for its new oil palm development. This methodology incorporates the latest scientific research, feedback from on-the-ground trials as well as new topics and inputs from working groups of the HCS Approach Steering Group.
Since August 2018, there is zero illegal or non-compliant deforestation recorded in our operations.
